The Berd HAWK30 wheelset is an exciting project between We Are One Composites and Berd to deliver a wheelset that is made entirely in NorthAmerica! We Are One is located in British Columbia,Canada; Berd is located in Hopkins, Minnesota; and the wheels are built with Onyx Hook Flange Vesper hubs!

Designed specifically for Berd spokes,theOnyx Hook Flange Vesperhubs feature hooks on the hub shell for securing Berd spokes without the use of the rod used in traditional j-bend and straight pull hubs. The result is a durable connectionwith a clean look and available in all of the custom colors that Onyx has to offer!

Onyx Racing Products hubs feature a completely silent sprag clutch freehub mechanism to silence your coasting and provide instant power transfer for faster acceleration and more control.

The HAWK30 rims are only 18 mm deep. This unique design yields engineered radial compliance and high lateral stiffness.The combination of vibration damping Berd spokes and our new radial compliant rim means more speed over rough terrain and less rider fatigue.

With a wide 3.75 mm rim lip, Berd’s new HAWK30 rims spread out tire/rim impacts across a larger surface area to prevent tire and rim damage during acute impacts

Berd spokes are made from an advanced polymer called ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) thathas 12 times the strength-to-weight ratio of steel and floats on water.Berd spokes have animproved fatigue life compared tosteel and are impervious to the elements.
