The Berd HAWK27 wheelset is an exciting project between We Are One Composites and Berd. Lacedto the NEWBerd Talon hubs, developed by Berd without compromise to create the highest-performing and most durable hubs using the hook flange interface, designed specifically for use with Berd spokes. The Talon hubs are available in boost spacing for mountain bikes with a dual-sprung ratchet freehub.

The Berd TALON hubs feature a proprietary Hook Flange forquick lacing and a clean spoke interface with no additional hub preparation needed. The TALON hubs also include removable end caps for easy serviceability, centerlock brake mounts, and a durable black anodized finish. The dual-sprung 36 or 54 tooth ratchet mechanism is designed to be easy to service and offers excellent reliability.

Ideal for cross country and trail racing and riding, the new BerdHAWK27wheels combine lightweight and vibration damping Berd spokes with We Are One27 mm internal carbon rims and Berd Talonhubs.

Berd spokes are made from an advanced polymer called ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) thathas 12 times the strength-to-weight ratio of steel and floats on water.Berd spokes have animproved fatigue life compared tosteel and are impervious to the elements.
